Involve Francesco Totti in this decision, allowing him to mentor and support De Rossi. Together, they embody Roma’s historic legacy, creating a powerful leadership duo to rekindle the fans’ deep connection with the club. The season could not be getting worse right now; it's time to undo the damage.
Fan Outreach Executive Role: Establish a dedicated fan engagement executive role. This executive, collaborating with Totti as a club ambassador, will prioritize meaningful fan interaction programs, aligning with AS Roma’s essence as the city’s heartbeat. Totti’s involvement brings a personal touch, bridging fans directly with the club. I know from personal experience - these groups feel like they got kicked out of the discussion (again). The last American owner didn't give a f*** about Roma, which led to fans walking around Rome with T-shirts featuring a pig with his face on it, he got ran out of Rome. That’s where this is headed.
2026 Fan-Designed Jersey Contest: Invite fans to submit designs for the 2026 AS Roma jersey, with Totti leading the selection panel. His involvement will add excitement, giving fans an opportunity to showcase their pride, and creating a design that feels like an extension of Rome itself.
Monthly Meetings with Ultras: Hold regular meetings with the ultras to discuss the fan experience, team updates, and citywide initiatives. Inviting Totti to select meetings will underscore AS Roma’s commitment to its fans, strengthening loyalty and allowing their voices to influence the club’s journey.
Special Heritage Matches Celebrating Roman Icons: Host “Heritage Matches” with retro kits, paying tribute to Roman icons like Totti and De Rossi with halftime celebrations. These events will keep Roma’s legacy alive and engage fans across generations.
Fan Access to Trigoria Training Grounds: Open sections of the Trigoria grounds for fan events, including tours and exclusive meet-and-greets with players, with Totti occasionally joining. These immersive experiences foster a deeper sense of belonging and access to the club’s daily life, making fans feel integral to AS Roma’s success.
